Clynderwen is a country linear village and also neighborhood, traditionally in Carmarthenshire in Wales, but administered as part of Pembrokeshire. It rests on the A478 Tenby to Cardigan road south of the village of Llandissilio and north of the town of Narberth. Clunderwen, converting into English as “oak thicket”, is called after an estate of the same name. On 1 April 2003, the village was transferred from the management county of Carmarthenshire to that of Pembrokeshire, complying with a boundary change between the counties. At the same time, a name adjustment to Clunderwen was suggested to show the actual use by the community council and also on roadway and various other indications.
