Belvedere is a town in south east London, England inside the London Borough of Bexley. It is situated south east of Thamesmead and is located approximately 12 miles (19 kilometres) southeast of Charing Cross. Belvedere was in Kent, and still has a Kent postcode. It was a part of the Municipal Borough of Erith prior to 1965 and improvement occurred before the Second World War, with significant renovation after the Blitz. Despite this, Upper Belvedere and the Village still contains a considerable amount of its Victorian and Edwardian appeal and character.
