Fort William is a settlement in the Highlands of Scotland. This makes Fort William the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger. Within this population, around 726 people, making up 7.33 percent of the population, can speak Gaelic. Fort William is a notable tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles.
