Would you like to replace your front door? There are many options available to you but none as popular as composite doors. But why is this type of door the nation’s favourite and why would you think about it for your own house? There are lots of reasons to pick out a composite door. To start with they look superb and there’s a wide variety of choice in the design and style to pick from. If you would like a modern appeal then you can certainly get exactly that, with contemporary designs to go together with the times. However, if you want the overall appeal of standard front doors, there are Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian designs from which to choose. As well as this it is possible to select a colour that beautifully matches your house. Whether you choose a traditional white or black door, or would desire the bold red, blue or green, the final decision is yours. But what about the composite door’s other features? As well as a strong overall look, you benefit from exceptional insulation and a long lasting, resistant installation. The construction of the door helps ensure heat is unable to pass thorough and exit your property, cutting down your expensive energy bills. A GRP (Glass reinforced plastic) skin enables you to protect the front door ensuring it continues to look great for many years to come.

Cowdenbeath is a town and burgh in west Fife, Scotland. It lies 5 miles north-east of Dunfermline and 18 miles north of the capital, Edinburgh. Regional inhabitants of these focal points of expansion, which were merging into a single town, assembled to choose on a name for the emerging town. The ultimate decision was narrowed down to either White Threshes or Cowdenbeath. The arrival of the Oakley Iron Company around 1850 was to have a long-term effect upon Cowdenbeath, making the name tantamount with coal-mining for almost 100 years. Shafts were sunk in the area of the old Foulford Washer. It was in the mining for ore that the discoveries of the coal seams were made, and pits were sunk at every corner of the town. Characterising the northern perimeter of Cowdenbeath is a rural landscape, which blends into the Lochore Meadows Country Park, ‘The Meadies’. This formerly industrial and mining landscape, which was the home of many pit-heads such as the Mary Pit, whose winding gear structure looms over the park as a memorial to its noteworthy mining history, is at present a really enticing area which offers leisure and recreational outdoor facilities.
