Abbots Langley is a substantial village and civil parish in the English county of Hertfordshire. It is an old settlement and is named Langelai in the Domesday Book of 1086. This village has an extensive history of effective human inhabitation. The initial indications of human residence in the region were documented by celebrated archaeologist Sir John Evans. According to the 2001 Census, the town has a permanent population of roughly 10472.
