Edenbridge is a town as well as civil parish in the Sevenoaks district of Kent, England. Its name derives from Old English Eadhelmsbrigge (significance “Eadhelm’s Bridge”). It is located on the Kent/ Surrey approach the top floodplain of the River Medway and also provides its name to the latter’s tributary, the River Eden. The community has a population of around 9,000. Edenbridge is twinned with Mont-Saint-Aignan in France. The bypass that was integrated in the early 2000s to eliminate website traffic stress on the old, slim High Street is named Mont St Aignan Way.
