Belvedere is a town of south east London, England within the London Borough of Bexley. It’s positioned south east of Thamesmead and is found approximately 12 miles (19 kilometres) southeast of Charing Cross. Belvedere was in Kent, and still has a Kent postcode. It formed part of the Municipal Borough of Erith ahead of 1965 and development occurred prior to the Second World War, with substantial renovation work after the Blitz. In spite of this, Upper Belvedere as well as the Village still features a significant amount of its Victorian and Edwardian charm and character. Upper Belvedere is the location of a church and a number of Victorian and Edwardian brick villas. It includes a number of standard pubs, restaurants and retail outlets.
