Hebburn is a town lying on the south bank of the River Tyne in North East England, located between the towns of Jarrow and Bill Quay. According to the 2011 Census, it has a population of 18808. The town was formerly a part of County Durham, with the name believed to come from Old English, signifying ‘high burial mount’.
