Front doors are a fundamental part of any property and therefore, must have a wide variety of benefits to be sure they’re appropriate. Hardwood doors are one option and in fact quite popular among homeowners for a variety of reasons.
For a front door, you’ll need exceptional security, weather resistance, durability and more importantly, amazing aesthetic appeal. And that’s just what a hardwood front door offers you. They look fantastic and you can even choose from a variety of colours and incredible styles to create a unique appeal for the home.
Regardless of your property, you could consider a Victorian, Edwardian modern or even country front door style. Then the colour could range from a traditional black or white, to the much more bold red, green and blue.
Hardwood doors are preferred over the more affordable uPVC option because they’re considerably more resilient and look fantastic. They may cost you slightly more, but the expense is worth it considering the fantastic benefits.

Barnoldswick, commonly called Barlick, is a town and civil parish inside the English county of Lancashire. Close to the county border with North Yorkshire, it is just outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town is built near to Weets Hill, and Stock Beck, a tributary of the River Ribble, can be observed running through the town. As recorded in the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of 11005. Barnoldswick and the surrounding areas of West Craven were part of the historic West Riding of Yorkshire between 876, the earliest known written reference to the Ridings of York in the Anglo Saxon Chronicles, and 1974, when local government was reorganised. West Riding County Council and Barnoldswick Urban District Council were abolished and replaced in this area by the Borough of Pendle, a part of Lancashire. Positioned on the lower slopes of Weets Hill in the Pennines astride the natural watershed between the Ribble and Aire valleys, Barnoldswick is the highest town on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, lying on the summit level of the canal between Barrowford Locks to the south west and Greenberfield Locks just north east of the town. It is positioned about 30 miles (48 km) from the cities of Leeds, Manchester and Preston. Nearby towns include Skipton to the east, Clitheroe to the west, Burnley towards the south and Keighley towards the southeast. Barnoldswick, with 12 letters, is one of the longest location names in the United Kingdom which does not repeat any letters.
