Because national energy rates continue to increase, it has become increasingly more necessary to contemplate just how your home is powered. And Micro CHP units have turned out popular, not only heating your property, but producing electricity as well.
Micro CHP boilers are driven by gas or LPG, whilst oil fired systems are being looked at as well. In spite of all of these being fossil fuels, Micro CHP units are thought as low carbon technologies as they’re a lot more efficient than making use of standard grid energy.
They look very similar to a normal domestic boiler and can be hooked up to a wall or left free standing. And fundamentally the main difference is they’ll generate electrical power for your house as well, supplying you with a two-for-one system.
There are numerous benefits to give Micro CHP boilers great consideration too. Not only are they permitted to get feed-in tariff payments, but they’re easy to set up and a lot more efficient than most central heating boilers in the UK.

Aldgate is a district inside the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and partly the City of London. It was the eastern-most gateway through the London Wall leading from the City of London to Whitechapel as well as the East End of London. It gave its name to a City ward bounded by White Kennet Street towards the north and Crutched Friars towards the south.
The district’s name was initially recorded in 1052 as ‘East gate’, but became Alegate by 1108. In the sixteenth century, John Stow derived the name from ‘Old Gate’. But Henry Harben, writing in 1918, stated that this was wrong and that documents show an alternative variation written prior to 1486-7. Other meanings include ‘Ale Gate’, connected with an ale-house or ‘All Gate’, which means the gate was free to everyone.
It is believed that a gate at Aldgate spanned the road to Colchester in the Roman period, when London Wall was constructed. The gateway stood at the corner of the modern day Duke’s palace on the east side of the city. It was rebuilt between 1108 and 1147, and once again in 1215. It was reconstructed entirely between 1607 and 1609 in a more classical style. As the other London gates, Aldgate was chained in 1377 as a consequence of concerns about attacks from the French. The gate was eventually removed in 1761 and temporarily re-erected in Bethnal Green.
