Barmouth is a community as well as neighborhood in the county of Gwynedd, north-western Wales, pushing the estuary of the River Mawddach and Cardigan Bay. Located in the Historic county of Merionethshire, the Welsh kind of the name is derived from “Aber” (estuary) as well as the river’s name, “Mawddach”. The English form of the name is a corruption of the earlier Welsh form ‘Abermawdd’. The community is offered by Barmouth railway station.
