East Molesey is a sizeable village in the suburban district of Molesey on the edge of Greater London in England. It is situated on the southern bank of the River Thames in the northeast of the borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, ranging north across the River Thames into the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. As of 1933, the Urban District of East and West Molesey became a section of the Esher Urban District, and in 1974, after the Local Government Act of 1972 came into effect, the district merged with the Walton and Weybridge Urban District to form the brand-new borough of Elmbridge. The village can be located around 11.7 miles and 13.5 miles from Charing Cross and near the other large village, West Molesey, and it is a part of the capital’s adjoining suburbs that form the Greater London Urban Area. In accordance with the 2011 Census, it is an area with a permanent population of around 19088. Before 1200, the names East and West Molesey were not used, and there was only one parish based around what is recognised today as East Molesey. There are many different opportunities for social and recreational endeavors in the village. East Molesey shares a high street with West Molesey, and it even has an additional second street lined with independent and commercial chain stores and restaurants near to Hampton Court Palace. Molesey Hurst, also regarded as Hurst Park, is a sizeable spot of land that is the home of East Molesey Cricket Club. It is also the site where the Hampton Ferry (London) can be caught, taking a trip to Hampton on the Middlesex bank. For all of your house upgrades, make sure to make use of reputable contractors in East Molesey to make certain of quality.
