While national energy rates continue to climb, it is now increasingly more necessary to consider exactly how your home is powered. And Micro CHP units have turned out to be very popular, not just heating the house, but producing electrical energy as well.
Micro CHP boilers are driven by gas or LPG, whilst oil fired systems are now being looked at too. Despite all of these being fossil fuels, Micro CHP units are considered as low carbon dioxide systems as they’re far more efficient than making use of standard grid energy.
They look very similar to a standard domestic central heating boiler and could be hooked up to a wall or left free standing. And essentially the primary difference is they’ll generate electricity for your home too, providing you with a two-for-one system.
There are plenty of benefits to give Micro CHP boilers great consideration too. They’re not only eligible to receive feed-in tariff payments, but they’re straightforward to set up and a lot more efficient compared to most boilers in the UK.
