Broughton-in-Furness is a compact market town on the southern boundary of England’s Lake District National Park. In the 1990s, the A595 road was diverted in an attempt to boost the environment of the town and preserve its rural charm. The town consists of, amongst other shops, a Post Office, a newsagents, a grocer, a butcher, a bakery and a number of pubs and restaurants.
