Abercastle is a village in the Welsh speaking area of Pembrokeshire, Wales. It has a working harbour which Abercastle Boat Owners Association manages. It is an old trading harbour which exported slate, grain, limestone, butter, honey, corn and coal. Abercastle harbour was the landing site of Alfred Johnson, the first person to make a single handed Atlantic crossing. He landed at Abercastle in August 1876, sixty days after setting off in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
