Crickhowell is a small town and also neighborhood in southeastern Powys, Wales, near Abergavenny, as well as was in the historic area of Brecknockshire. The name Crickhowell is drawn from that of the close-by Iron Age hill ft of Crug Hywel above the community, the Welsh language name being anglicised by map-makers and also neighborhood English-speaking people.
