Amersham is a market town and civil parish inside the Chiltern district within the English county of Buckinghamshire. It is located inside the Chiltern Hills, 27 miles northwest of London, 15 miles from Aylesbury and 13 miles from High Wycombe. It forms an element of the London commuter belt as a consequence of its closeness to London. There is a chalk stream that runs through the town, although it often is dried up all through the year.
